Introduction
Mritasanji
vani sura is a special liquid form Ayurvedic medicine which is basically an Asava preparation i.e. it consists of higher percentage of self-generated alcohol This product is addressed for its capability to help even a dying person. This is an Ayurvedic wine product. Compared to other Asava products, Mritasanjivani sura contains higher percentage of self-generated alcohol. It is also called as Mritasanjeevani arishta.
Ingredients
Method of Preparation
In water, jaggery (one year old jaggery) is dissolved and further coarsely powdered herbs Babbula Twak to Punarnava are added to it.
The mouth of the vessel is then covered with a lid, sealed and preserved in a heap of grains. After sixteen days powders of drugs from betel nut to white sandal powder are then added to the mixture and kept in a heap of grains for more 4 days. Thereafter, this is distilled in a Mayura Yantra/Baka Yantra or Mochika Yantra.

Caution
Intake of Mritasanjivani sura is illegal, without any valid prescription by an Ayurvedic doctor. This product has to be taken always under strict medical supervision.
The maximum allowed percentage of alcohol in this product, as per Drugs and Cosmetics Act is - 16%
The maximum packing size allowed is 30 ml per bottle.
Contraindications
It is best to avoid this during pregnancy or lactation.
